Confirm you are in a safe environment; if danger persists, move away from the hazard.
Check if there is significant bleeding and call emergency services immediately.
Open the first-aid kit and take out the hemostatic dressing or bandage.
Apply the dressing firmly to the wound, exerting moderate pressure and elevating the injured limb to reduce bleeding.
